  4. AllDay has stored user events in its Preferences file in previous versions. In version 5.0 this is done in a new separate document.

  6. Because of this and other structural changes at AllDay's Preferences file in version 5.0 AllDay erases any old Preferences file found in the system folder including all user events and creates a new one.

User events are not being transferred into the new version automatically. This would have required a new conversion routine which would have consumed too much program space compared to the small amount of total space being consumed by the application. As well, the conversion routine would have been part of AllDay for all times while it would have been used only once.
